বাংলাদেশ রেলওয়ে পাহাড়তলী এলাকার নারি শিক্ষা প্রসারের লক্ষ্যে ১৯৫০ সালে পাহাড়তলী বালিকা বিদ্যালয় নামে শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানটি প্রতিষ্ঠা করে যেখানে নিন্ম ও মধ্যবিত্ত আয়ের পরিবারের মেয়েরা নামমাত্র বেতনে এবং অতি দরিদ্র পরিবারের মেয়েরা বিনাবেতনে প্রথম থেকে দশম শ্রেণি পর্যন্ত পড়ার সুযোগ পেতো। পরবর্তীতে শিক্ষার্থী ও অভিভাবকদের চাহিদা বিবেচনায় নিয়ে প্রতিষ্ঠানের তৎকালীন পরিচালনা পর্ষদের সভাপতি ও জনাব জহুরুল আলম জসীম ২০১৭ সালে উক্ত প্রতিষ্ঠানের কলেজ শাখার চালু করেন যা উক্ত প্রতিষ্ঠানের শ্রেণি কার্যক্রমকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণি পর্যন্ত বর্ধিত করেছে।
