Independent University Bangladesh (IUB), founded in 1993, is one of the oldest institutes of higher learning among private universities in Dhaka, Bangladesh. IUB provides undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in different fields, including BBA, Engineering, Economics, Environmental Science, Pharmacy etc. IUB have a stunning campus in Bashundhara, complete with a big number of classrooms, an upgraded library, a canteen, an amphitheatre, a sports complex, two-storied basement and a newly constructed swimming pool. IUB promotes extracurricular activities like sports, cultural events, various forms of clubs, and job fairs.

My visit to the IUB campus was an average experience. The campus facilities were functional, providing the essentials for academic activities. The classrooms were adequately equipped, and the library offered a decent collection of resources. The overall infrastructure seemed to fulfill the basic requirements for learning. While the campus was generally tidy, there were areas where improvements in maintenance could enhance the overall appeal. The campus ambiance, while not extraordinary, was suitable for academic pursuits. The faculty and staff were helpful and contributed to a positive learning environment. One aspect that could be improved is the variety of extracurricular activities and amenities available on campus. A more diverse range of clubs or facilities could potentially enhance the overall student experience.

One of the most renowned universities of Bangladesh, Which stood 15th in Asia and 1st in Bangladesh (2022) for contributing to research. The business school here is sophisticated as well. As for the atmosphere, there are countless pictures for you to judge! The only this which I do not like about this university is that during lunch time the cafeteria is extremely crowded. The authority should really work on that.

IUB Campus The IUB campus sprawls over 3 acres, has an amphitheater, dedicated state-of-the-art laboratories for life, environmental and social sciences, and engineering. There are 95 multimedia classrooms that are fully-equipped for both physical and online classes. The IUB campus also hosts an auditorium, a 6,000 sq-ft modern gymnasium, food court, and a spacious sports complex. There is also a dormitory for female students from outside Dhaka, foreign students and a guest-house for visiting scholars. The IUB Library contains over 35,000+ books and access to renowned resource hubs such as ABI Global (ProQuest), Cambridge University Press Journals, EBSCOhost, Emerald Journals, IEEEXplore, JSTOR Journals, Literary Encyclopedia, National Geographic, SpringerLink Journals, and so on.
