2026-02-01My patient was admitted to the cancer hospital and required a blood transfusion. I arranged the donor myself. Hospital staff collected a vial of blood from my patient and asked me to carry it in my pocket to another building. In that building, the donor’s blood was collected. The next day, the patient’s attendant was again instructed to go to that building and physically bring the blood back to the cancer center. This process is highly unprofessional and unsafe. Such critical procedures should be fully managed by trained medical professionals—not patients or their families. Medication and prescription issues: Very often, proper prescriptions for narcotic painkillers or sleep medications—commonly required for cancer patients—are not provided correctly. Almost 99% of the time, these medicines are unavailable in the hospital and must be purchased externally. However, pharmacies frequently reject the prescriptions due to incorrect formatting. We then have to return to the hospital and explain how to write a valid narcotic prescription. It is alarming that staff in a cancer hospital are unaware of standard prescribing requirements for such essential drugs. Nursing care concerns: In many cases, nurses simply hand over the prescription and ask the patient’s attendant to administer the medication. This leads to frequent medication errors. Administering drugs is a nursing responsibility, yet it is repeatedly avoided. Additional observations: No digital payment options; all payments must be made in cash Overly complicated processes for routine tasks, similar to a typical government office A dismissive attitude such as “come back after lunch” is common Rating explanation: ⭐ One star for cleanliness and modern equipment ⭐ One star for relatively low treatment cost Disclaimer: This may not be everyone’s experience, but it is my honest observation. If anyone reading this has the authority and willingness to address these issues, I sincerely hope changes are made. If this is the condition of one of the country’s top government hospitals, it is concerning to imagine the situation at lower levels. This feedback comes from frustration, exhaustion, and a genuine desire to see improvement—for the sake of patients who are already fighting the hardest battle of their lives.

2024-02-22My wife is a breast cancer patient and being treated here for last 09 months. She had chemotherapy here and presently undergoing radiotherapy. I am very pleased with the devotion, prefessionalism and care shown by the doctors and the nursing staffs. This is one of the best cancer treatment centre in Asia...surely. I am grateful to the management of the cancer centre. I recommend that all civilian patients to come and get treated here in a very good environment and at a quite reasonable cost (as It's not a business institution).

2021-09-23The newly developed cancer center of cmh dhaka is a state if the art cancer management facility. This Institution has all the modern cancer detection procedure including PET-CT. The Management as well as the physicians are devoted and works 24X7 for best management. All the relevant subspecialty like medical oncology, surgical oncology and radiation oncology teams are looking after the patient. The facility is mainly for the defense personal and their families but civil patients can also avail treatment here.

2022-11-19The environment inside and outside is amazing and clean.Their medical facilities are good and all regulations are controlled by the army.Doctors are all army doctors.The quality of treatment is good and the cost of treatment is relatively low.Everyone's behavior is very sincere and very good.
